Elanor (b. 1983) lives in her hometown of Rochester, New York.
Her work in watercolor and ceramics draws inspiration from folk art, the kingdoms of plant & beast and fish & fowl, children’s art, children’s books, textile design… and on and on.
Each session in the studio sees the beginnings of a new creature-person or doll-person, and it’s always rather exciting… who will arrive today? Bashful, dappled, snoozing, out of sorts or cheery, looking for a nibble and out to find a hat. Often covered in quilts and grasses, shrubs and berries, crowned and maybe with a mustache.
They wonder, why is there moss everywhere, and where is the coffee at? They all hope you will enjoy meeting them.
