Elanor (b. 1983) lives in her hometown of Rochester, New York.

She holds a BA from St. John’s College NM, and a Masters in Education from Antioch University NE.

Inspiration for her work comes from folk art, animals, plants, mushrooms, bugs, books for children and fairy tales ... and on and on.

Each session in the studio sees the beginnings of a new creature-person or doll-person, and it’s always rather exciting… who will arrive today? Bashful, dappled, snoozing, out of sorts or cheery, looking for a nibble and out to find a hat. Often covered in quilts and grasses, shrubs and berries, crowned and maybe with a mustache.

They wonder, why is there moss everywhere, and where is the coffee at?
